Quick & Easy Classic No Sentiment Card

I just love the Changing Leaves bundle (with the included embossing folder)! I decided to use my Metallic Enamel Effects for a dry addition pop of color.

This bundle includes the fantastic Changing Leaves HYBRID Embossing Folder! It took me a minute to get used to these hybrid embossing folders… and then I was hooked! So many possibilities in half the time!

The Metallic Enamel Effects can be found on page 111 of the Annual Catalog. I applied the color with a dry Water Painter and used both the Copper and Gold paint. I simply added a few dots to my glass mat and applied the colors one at a time. The paint will wipe up easily off the mat.

This card had classic design lines with just the right amount of color that I really didn’t think it needed a sentiment. I will wait until I have the perfect opportunity for the perfect recipient and then add my personal message or stamped sentiment.

Here are the quick measurements for this project:

Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
Basic White CS: 5″ x 3 3/4″

Here’s the quick step-by-step…

Trim all layers as noted above
Using your (broad stroke) Water Painter, make three broad stroke lines across the left side of the trimmed layer with the Metallic Enamel Effects Basics (set aside to dry)
Emboss the trimmed/painted layer with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder
Emboss and crop another piece of Basic White scrap with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder (focusing on the large center leaf)
Adhere the embossed layer to the card base
Adhere the large leaf over the embossed layer using Mini Dimensionals
Fray a strand of the 2023-25 In Color Jute Trim (Wild Wheat) and tie a bow around the bottom the of the focal image (leaf)
