When I first saw the Poised Peony Stamp Set, I was immediately drawn to the large single Peony image! I can imagine many different ways to make this image pop and decided my first project would be a design with a watercolor effect. To do this, I pulled out my Stampin’ Spritzer.

You can see a quick 60+ Seconds to Success video below for the ‘quick’ step-by-step, but all you really need to know is that I used my Stampin’ Spritzer to add water right onto the inked up stamp image (still on the block) before the image was transferred to the paper.

In this case, I did use the Stampin’ Up! Shimmer Paper, which I am so sad to say that it has been discontinued. (I would have used the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, but I liked the smoother texture to the Shimmer Paper.)

I used one of our new In Colors, Peach Pie for the ink color and also the bottom card base layer. I added a top layer using a print (Petal Pink) from the Country Lace DSP and I am loving these two colors together.

To highlight the Petal Pink DSP, I stamped the sentiment in Petal Pink ink.

Here are the quick measurements for this project:

• Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
• Peach Pie CS: 5 1/4″ x 4″
• Country Lace DSP: 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Peach Pie CS: 3 5/8″ x 2 5/8″
• Basic White CS: 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

Below is the first project I created using the Spritzer to give a watercolor effect on the focal image. The DSP used here was from the Thoughtful Journey DSP  (Thoughtful Journey Suite Collection).
