Did You Miss The Thursday This or That Post?

Every Thursday, I (try to) post a ‘This or That’ project on my Facebook group page and I ask for everyone’s preference. I have to say, I am always surprised at the responses… which totally makes me happy! It also reminds me to change things up a little as we all have different likes and dislikes!

Both projects were created with the Spotlight on Nature stamp set, with one having an embossed back layer (I used the new Dashing Design 3D Embossing Folder).

What is your preference?

I created the backdrop to the focal image by cropping two different size circles from scrap paper and used them as stencils. I filled in the negative space with my Blending Brushes (Lost Lagoon and Wild Wheat ink). So easy!

I stamped the large focal image from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set in Memento Black ink over the two intertwined colored circles. This image from the stamp set is the best stand alone image! It is simple and classic and needs very little to embellish.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink right on the focal image layer and finished it off with a few Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gems.

For the second project, I cropped, blended with color and stamped just as I did above… and then I ran the layer through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Dashing Design 3D Embossing Folder.

Here are the quick measurements for this project:

Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
Basic Black CS: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Basic White CS: 5″ x 3 3/4″
