I had so much fun using the Potted Succulent Dies from the Simply Succulent Bundle as a stencil and adding color with our new Blending Brushes!
The birthday card above was colored with Highland Heather ink using a Blending Brush to achieve a darker color around the flower centers and blending out for a lighter color as the backdrop. I also blended a little bit of Mint Macaron ink in certain spots as a grounding pop of coordinating color.
I used the new Oval Occasions Bundle for the Happy Birthday sentiment and oval layers. The layers were cropped from the Double Oval Punch (included in with the Oval Occasions Bundle).
For this next project, I wanted to show you the die cut and how it was used as a stencil. I simply placed the die cut (from Basic White card stock) over the focal image layer (another piece of Basic White card stock) and taped the edges so it wouldn’t pull up on me.
I used my Blending Brushes and gently swirled on Just Jade and Calypso Coral ink to achieve the desired shades on my layer. I used the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch as the tag for the sentiment, which was from the Simply Succulents Bundle. I layered the focal image on a piece of Just Jade card stock and added a strip of Calypso Coral ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack.
