The Hearts of Elegance bundle is an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE and it is the perfect bundle for Valentine’s day, an Anniversary celebration or any occasion to celebrate and send a little love! Today, we are creating a really cute fun fold card using this bundle and the beautiful Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP!
The Hearts of Elegance bundle is part of the Marbled Elegance Suite Collection.
Fun Folds make such an impression to the recipient! This one is so easy to create! One reason this fun fold is so special is because the card front and card base are NOT attached! There are two separate panels that hold together the 4-panel insert!
I used the beautiful Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP (several different patterns) and just three hearts (one stamped and cropped, one embossed and cropped and one cropped small stitched heart). You could certainly add more to your design if you want!
Here are the measurements for this fun fold project…
- Real Red CS (card bases): 2x 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Real Red CS (accordion fold): 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″
- Basic White CS (inside panel): 4″ x 2 1/2″
- DSP: (front) 1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ – (inside) 3x 2 1/2″ x4″
Here is the step-by-step for this fun fold…
- Adhere the large DSP layer to the right of the card base front
- Adhere the narrow DSP layer to the left side of the card base front
- Wrap twine/thread around this layer two times, secure to the back in the center (be sure to secure it out of sight when the card is opened) and tie a bow on the front
- Fold the accordion layer as shown. Adhere the three DSP layers to the left three panels
- Stamp on the Basic White layer as desired and adhere to last (right panel)
- Add adhesive to the back of the accordion layer and adhere the back card base layer
- Decorate the center panels as desired. I stamped and die cut several hearts to add to the center
- Stamp the sentiment for the front panel card and trim around it.
- Crop a small stitched heart from Real Red card stock and adhere to right side of sentiment tag
- Adhere the tag to the card front with Dimensionals
- Add a few Heart Sequins to the card front
