Easy Wallet Style Gift Card Holder

The Trucking Along bundle (English version) is unfortunately, no longer available. I didn’t know that until I checked the stock before publishing this post. The Trucking Along Builder Punch is still available though!

I ended up using mostly discontinued products for this project. My reasoning was that I am using this design in my next community card class and I had to make sure I had enough designer series paper to go around… taking into account I don’t know how many people will attend at this point. (My retirement DSP stash is huge!)

This was a really easy design to put together (again… perfect for a class of beginners). See below for the step-by-step!

Here are the measurements and step-by-step for this project…

Cherry Cobbler CS: 6″ x 5 1/4 – On the 5 1/4″ side, score at 3/4″ on both sides – Turn and on the 6″ side, score at 1 1/4″ and 3 3/4″
Trim off each of the rectangles on the four corners and then cut small diagonal corners to make tabs
Round corners for base
DSP: 3 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ – score at 1 1/8″ and round all corners and adhere to base layer
Using any circular punch or die, crop a semi-circle for a thumb-grab
Belly Band – Cherry Cobbler CS: 6″ x 1″
Stamp and punch truck using the Trucking Along Builder Punch
Crop a circle from Basic White scrap using the Changing Leaves Dies
Basic White CS: 3 1/2″ x 1″ – round two (top) corners and stamp sentiment
Wrap the belly band around the gift card holder and adhere so it slips easily on and off
Adhere a short strip of ribbon behind the cropped circle and then adhere to the belly band
Adhere the truck image over the cropped circle using Dimensionals
