Winterly Tree Tops

I am loving this beautiful new bundle from the newly released Sept-Dec ’24 Mini Catalog called Winterly Tree Tops! It is part of the Nests of Winter Suite Collection, which can be found on pages 30 & 31.

Although I am not a fan of birds (they just freak me out a little), I do love when the images on the designer series paper can be cropped with one of the dies from the set… and these bird images are just outstanding.

Grab this print from the DSP and crop away to make designing oodles of cards quick and easy!

In addition to the bold and beautiful DSP pattern (Garden Green with a bright White stripe), I added another new product to this design… the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. This gave the little birdies (which were cropped straight from the DSP) a clean solid/embossed layer as the background to really shine as the focal image.

To make the focal image stand out even more, I tore the top part of the embossed layer at an angle (going upward) so that the bold color of the DSP would show through.

Just a few stand alone dies were cropped from Garden Green card stock to add a little greenery to their perch.

The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink and cropped with a sentiment tag die from the Everyday Details Dies.

The finishing touch was adding a small bow from the Natural Tones Linen Thread and a few Earth Tones Shimmer Gems to the card front (both are included in the Nests of Winter Suite Collection).

Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
Garden Green CS: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Nests of Winter DSP: 5″ x 3 3/4″
Basic White CS: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (embossed layer)
