Fun Fold With Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder

Welcome to our next project in this week’s NEW PRODUCT SHOWCASE – ADORING HEARTS HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDER from the new JAN – APR ’24 MINI CATALOG!

This week, it’s all about this fantastic ADORING HEARTS HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDER!

We are starting out with this project today to show two of the fantastic elements of this embossing folder! You can find this Hybrid Embossing Folder on pages 18-19 of the new Mini.

What makes it a Hybrid? Well, it means the dies and embossing folder can be used at the same time! For today’s project, I used both the embossing folder and the dies!

If you want to emboss (and/or crop) all nine of the hearts, you will need to start with a piece of card stock that is 6″ x 6″. For this project, I did use a 6″ x 6″ piece of Basic White card stock and trimmed around just two of the hearts to fit on the right side of the card base of the fun fold (and saved the rest for later)!

I used my sponge daubers to add a little color to the inside of the embossed hearts layer before adhering it to the right (open) side of the card base.

I cropped the inside heart details dies from Basic White card stock and arranged them on the Pebbled Path card stock layer. Nothing pops more than white on Pebbled Path!!

I stamped the sentiment (from the Bee My Valetine stamp set) on the Basic White layer and added it to the Pebbled Path layer. I feel like it added a nice balance to the fun fold.

Here are the measurements for this project:

Basic White (Thick) CS: 9″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 3 1/2″
Pebbled Path CS: 4″ x 3 1/4″
Pebbled Path CS: 3 1/4″ x 1 3/4″
Basic White CS: 3″ x 1 1/2″

Here is the step-by-step for this project:

Trim all layers as noted above
Emboss a full sheet of detailed hearts and trim to 4″ x 1 3/4″ keeping two hearts centered on the layer
Using a sponge dauber, add a little Pebbled Path ink to the center of the embossed images and adhere to the right side of the open card base
Adhere the Pebbled Path CS to the front flap of the card front
Crop three (inner details) heart dies from Basic White card stock and adhere to the left side of the front flap layer
Stamp the sentiment on the right side of the trimmed Basic White layer and adhere to the trimmed Pebbled Path layer
Wrap a strand of the Pebbled Path Textured Ribbon around the lower left corner of the sentiment layer
Trim another strand of the same ribbon in half widthwise and use one strand to make a bow over the cornered ribbon
Adhere the sentiment layer to the right side of the front flap (overlapping the embossed layer)
Add a few white Classic Matte Dots to the card front
