Welcome to our first project in this week’s NEW PRODUCT SHOWCASE – ADORING HEARTS HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDER from the new JAN – APR ’24 MINI CATALOG!
This week, it’s all about this fantastic ADORING HEARTS HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDER!
We are starting out with this super-simple example of what this embossing folder can create! You can find this Hybrid Embossing Folder on pages 18-19 of the new Mini.
What makes it a Hybrid? Well, it means the dies and embossing folder can be used at the same time! For today’s project, I did not use the dies… just the embossing folder. Be sure to check back in this upcoming week to see these great dies in action!
If you want to emboss (and/or crop) all nine of the hearts, you will need to start with a piece of card stock that is 6″ x 6″. Since I wanted to end up with a square card (4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″), I only embossed four hearts (upper left corner of folder).
I am using Lemon Lime Twist card stock to help make this simple design really pop! I added a strip of black twine and a ribbon from the Annual Catalog called Ribbon Duo Combo Pack, which has both Lemon Lime Twist and Petal Pink ribbon.
The black twine also helps this design pop… along with a few black embellishments from the Classic Matte Dots pack.
Here are the measurements for this project:
- Basic White (Thick) CS: (9″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 4 1/2″
- Basic White CS: 4 3/8″ x 4 3/8″
- Lemon Lime Twist CS: 4″ x 4″
Here is the step-by-step for this project:
- Trim all layers as noted above
- Run the Lemon Lime Twist card stock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine – centering on the upper left quadrant
- Adhere to Basic White square layer
- Wrap both layers with the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo and the black twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and tie a bow to the left
- Adhere layers to card base
- Stamp the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White
- Crop the sentiment with the heart die from the set
- Crop a few small hearts from Lemon Lime Twist card stock using the die from the set and add to sentiment heart
- Adhere sentiment heart over ribbon with dimensionals
- Add a few Classic Matte Dots to the card front
I hope you liked today’s project from this new and fun Hybrid Embossing Folder! Come back during the week to see a few more projects I created with this product. Thanks so much for visiting my blog today and have a wonderful day!

Darling card Lori!
Love the idea of a square card 4.5×4.5 size. (5×5 is extra postage)
I could see those small die cut hearts in a red too.
You make this green paper actually likeable…ha.
