Everyday Details Making This Week's Product Showcase

Welcome to our second set of projects in this week’s NEW PRODUCT SHOWCASE – EVERYDAY DETAILS BUNDLE from the new JAN – APR ’24 MINI CATALOG!

This week, it’s all about this classic but simple EVERYDAY DETAILS BUNDLE!

I may have mentioned before that it was the Everyday Details Dies that caught my eye in the new Mini Catalog. And because these dies are such a show stopper, it may have overshadowed the Everyday Details Stamp Set. That definitely was the case with me, but I am so glad I gave this bundle a second look. You can find this bundle on page 28 of the new Mini.

There is a specific die in this set that I want to bring attention to… I call it the ‘double dotted’ rectangle die. One run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, and you have two die cuts at your disposal. We’re using the outer layer for this project and I’ll hang on to the inner rectangle for another project. Two die cuts with one die!

You can see from the photo that the cutting line is in the center between the two rows of dots! (Tip – trim your card stock first to the desired size so that you have two ready-to-use panels after die cutting.)

The images in this set are simple and beautiful. Stamp the images in Memento Black ink when using your Blends Markers and then just add color! I still tend to be a monochromatic stamper, but adding color to these classic images really brings them to life.

Here are the measurements for this project:

Basic White (Thick) CS: 11” x 4 1/4” and score at 5 1/2”
Pool Party CS: 5 1/4” x 4”
Basic White CS: 4 3/4” x 3 1/2”
DSP: 5” x 3 3/4” (Sunny Days DSP – Sale-A-Bration item)

Here is the step-by-step for this project:

Trim all layers as noted above
Stamp the image on the Basic White layer and add color with any Blends Markers (I used Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight)
Run the large ‘double-dotted’ rectangle die from the Everyday Details Dies through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the trimmed piece of Sunny Days DSP (SAB). Set the center die cut aside for a future project
Adhere the cropped DSP layer to the stamped Basic White layer
Adhere both layers to the Pool Party DSP layer and then on to the card base
Stamp the sentiment (Hooray For Surprises Stamp Set) in Memento Black ink onto a scrap of Basic White CS and fussy cut around words
Adhere a small piece of the Pool Party Ribbon to the back/left side of the sentiment tag
Adhere the sentiment tag to card front
Add a few Opaque Faceted Gems (this is a SAB item) to the card front

This die was another ‘double dotted’ die and I saved the inside circle for a project that will be here on the blog later this week. (I used the Nature’s Sweetness DSP – Nature’s Sweetness Suite Collection – pg. 41-43). Enjoy!
