Welcome to my first PRODUCT SHOWCASE from the new JAN – APR ’24 MINI CATALOG!

This week, it’s all about this adorable BEE MY VALENTINE BUNDLE!

It has been way too long since I shared my latest creation (I think it was early December!)! I am happy to say that I have finally reached the point in my relocation/transition from New Jersey to Florida that I am able to pull out some of my pre-order products and play!

We are still waiting for our new home to be finished (Fort Myers) and are cooped up in a tiny condo for the month, but I am making the best of it and enjoying every moment of playing with all my goodies! So let’s get started!

We are starting with the adorable By My Valentine bundle, which is from the Bee Mine Suite Collection. You can find this suite of products on pages 8-10 of the new Mini!

There is another new product that I included in with this project and that is the Everyday Details Dies. They are part of the Everyday Details Bundle. I really like these dies and have already used them on many of my Bee Mine projects. See below for some tips on using some of these dies.

Here are the measurements for this project: 

• Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
• Pool Party CS : 5 1/4″ x 4″
• DSP: 5″ x 3 3/4″

Here is the step-by-step for this project:

• Trim all layers as noted above
• Adhere the Pool Party CS to the card base
• Using the large rectangle Everyday Details Die, crop from the center of this pattern (set aside center piece for another project)
• Using the 2nd largest circle die from the Everyday Details Dies, crop from a Basic White CS scrap
• Using the smallest stitched rectangle die from the above die set, crop from a Basic White CS scrap
• Adhere the DSP layer to the CS layer
• Adhere the cropped circle to the center of the cropped DSP layer
• Stamp and punch out the bee image pieces and adhere them together
• Add two tiny dots to the face with a Blends Marker or Stampin’ Write Marker
• Adhere the adorable bee image over the cropped circle with dimensionals
• Stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink onto the cropped rectangle and adhere under/to the left of the cropped circle
• Tie a bow with the black twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhere to sentiment layer
• Add a few Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers to the card front

Some Tips For You:

• I stamped and punched several (many actually 🙂 ) bumble bee body parts on a 2″ strip of Basic White CS in different colors for easy access in anticipation of making a lot of these adorable cards. It was a big time saver!
• Did you know that the little antennae image can be cropped perfectly with the small heart cut-out on the punch?!!
• I ran a few pieces of CS through the small heart cut-out on the punch and then put each on a strip of glue dots so they were ready to roll whenever I was!
• Some of the dies in the Everyday Details Dies (pg. 28/Everyday Details Bundle) crop on both the inside and outside of the die… so be sure to save that center piece for your next project!
