Seasonal Side Step Card - Horse & Sleigh

The Horse & Sleigh bundle (Online Exclusive) is just beautiful in itself, but I felt the need to do something different with each project because the coordinating designer series paper just makes it even more special. Needless to say, this is not my first fun fold with this bundle. This fun fold is called a Side Step Card.

This DSP is called One Horse Open Sleigh 6″ x 6″ DSP and it also is an Online Exclusive, which means you will not find it in any of our catalogs. This designer series paper is so beautiful and I have to say it is my favorite part of this collection!

A Side Step card is 3 dimensional and with this bundle and DSP, I was able to truly make a scene that was eye-catching. Can you see that beautiful little deer watching the horse and sleigh go by? His little pink ears inspired me to color the sleigh with a Petal Pink Blends Marker.

Below are the measurements for this project, but since it is a little difficult to type the step-by-step for a 3D project like this one, you are welcome to view a video I did awhile back (Flowering Tulips time) to get the gist of putting it all together.

Just be mindful that the dimensions will be different because I was intentionally showcasing the little deer in the DSP on this project, so I had to adjust the measurements of the front flap to be sure he was the focal point.

Pecan Pie CS: 5 1/2” x 8” and score at 3, 6, 7
Pecan Pie CS: 6” x 2 1/2” and score at 4 1/4”
Pecan Pie CS: 3” x 1 1/4”
Basic White CS: 5 1/4” x 2 3/4″
*DSP: 5 1/4” x 2 3/4”, 5 1/4” x 3/4”, 4” x 2 1/4”, 2 7/8” x 1”
*When choosing and trimming the DSP, be cognizant of the overall design you are looking to create before trimming.
