Acknowledging The Good!

I am still not done playing with my new favorite obsession… the Paper Florist Dies, which can be found in the Stampin’ Up! 2023-24 Annual Catalog!

I finally was able to get into this beautiful die set after months of not being able to use my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine after my wrist surgery early summer! I am so happy to be back and have so many ideas for this die set and I really need to put it aside soon to work on my holiday cards! 🙂 But for now… here is my latest!

The photo of the set above gives you an idea just how many dies there are! This photo below shows which die produces which die cuts and how they look once adhered together.

For this project, I wanted to incorporate a few Vellum flowers that I had left over from a previous project and also a masking technique that I love from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks (also from the Annual Catalog). See the step-by-step below!

Here’s the step-by-step:

Trim all layers as noted above
Using one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, use your Blending Brush to add Smoky Slate ink onto the Basic White layer
Adhere stenciled layer to Smoky Slate CS layer and adhere both to card base
Die cut several flowers and leaves from preferred color card stock and add shading (same color) with a Blending Brush (see additional photos on last page)
Add color to Vellum Specialty DSP with Blending Brush before die cutting additional flowers
Assemble all petal pieces into flowers and arrange and adhere to card front
Stamp the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Smoky Slate onto Basic White CS and crop with die from the Something Fancy Dies
Adhere sentiment tag to the lower right side of card front using dimensionals
Make a bow from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhere to left side of sentiment tag
Add a few Festive Pearls to card front

Here are the measurements for this project:

Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
Smoky Slate CS: 5 1/4” x 4”
Basic White CS: 5” x 3 3/4”
Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Smoky Slate, Vellum CS: Scraps for die cutting
