A Happy Slimline With Paper Florist Dies

I have not made a slimline in awhile and thought I would match up my current obsession (the Paper Florist Dies) with DSP from the 2023-24 Annual Catalog, the Fresh As A Daisy DSP!

The stamp set I borrowed this great sentiment from is the So Sincere Stamp Set. This set is from the Sept – Dec 2023 Mini Catalog! I stamped the sentiment on a die cut from the Nested Essentials Dies using Moody Mauve ink to pick up the color in the DSP.

To achieve the split paper effect, I simply trimmed two coordinating prints from the DSP set the same size. I adhered the bottom print first and then I hand-teared the top print from corner to corner before adhering it over the bottom (solid) print.

I created the large flower from the Paper Florist Dies and brushed them with color (Moody Mauve) using my Blending Brush for a shaded, more realistic look. I cropped a couple of leaf images from Wild Wheat card stock to pick up the same color in the DSP.

Here is my worksheet that I created when I first received this fantastic die set. I show the die cuts each die can produce and then the finished image.

Don’t forget to add a beautiful touch to your card by lining the outside flap of the envelope with coordinating paper. Such a nice surprise for your recipient!

Here are the measurements for this project:

Basic White (Thick) CS: 8″ x 7 1/4″ and scored at 4″
DSP: 7″ x 3 3/4″ (2x)
