Our SNEAK PEEK WEEKEND IS HERE! Here is our first sneak peek into the upcoming catalog! This bundle is called Merriest Trees and is so fun to work with! You can find this bundle on page 12 of the new catalog!

Today’s monochromatic holiday card features the three sets of tree dies that come with the Merriest Tree Dies. See below for photos on how I incorporated all three with this card. You can see all the fantastic shapes and accessories available to decorate each tree.

The large tree stamps are made for 2-step stamping. Since I wanted to keep this card monochromatic using the Pretty Peacock ink, I stamped the solid image by using my Stamparatus. After I fully inked up the image, I stamped off by placing a piece of scrap paper over the solid image to pick up most of the ink… before placing the plate with the stamp onto the paper.

I did this because I wanted my detailed stamp to be inked up ‘full’ strength and to really pop.

I stamped three separate images of the large tree. I die cut the first one using the large die. The next step was to die cut the other two images with both the medium and small die… which are made to perfectly crop either two tiers or three tiers from the same image.

Once I had all three images ready, I cropped a rectangle from the Deckled Rectangles Dies and then embossed it with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. You will notice that I actually used the ‘debossed’ side for this design… just because! 🙂

You can see that I adhered the large tree with Stampin’ Seal, and the two smaller trees were adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink and trimmed to sit just below the focal images.

The added embellishments were just a few Iridescent Pastel Gems adhered to the card front.

Here are the measurements for this project:

• Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
• Pretty Peacock CS: 5 1/4″ x 4″
• Basic White CS: Scrap for Deckled Rectangle and sentiment tag
