Well, this is my first blog post in quite a while! I am finally able to do some typing! I wanted my first post to be a thank you for all the good wishes, positive vibes and beautiful handmade cards that were sent during my recovery (from multiple broken wrist bones and subsequent surgery). (Be careful out there, fellow Pickle Ballers! 😉 )! It has been a very long summer for me but since  starting my intense physical therapy, I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! 

Luckily, I had a chance to play with the Earthen Textures bundle before my fall and I am so excited to finally share some of these projects from this set. You can find the Earthen Textures bundle on page 71 of the new 2023-24 Annual Catalog! It is part of the Earthen Elegance Suite Collection!

I am using the Earthen Elegance 12″ x 12″ DSP and one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folder to make the simple card front really pop! The Dies in this set are so beautiful and the natural elements it can create can be used year round!

To add the additional texture to the already beautiful vases, I embossed them each with a separate embossing folder (Basics 3D for the DSP vase and the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder for the smaller card stock vase).

Did you notice the extra Blackberry Bliss card stock die cut behind the DSP die cut? I love giving the image a little more weight and a slight shadow effect.

I also cropped one leaf/branch from the Blackberry Bliss card stock and one leaf/branch from the Earthen Elegance DSP for added interest.

I stamped the sentiment in one of our In Colors, Moody Mauve and then embossed this tag with the Basics 3D Embossing Folder.

I ran a strip (from scrap) of the Blackberry Bliss card stock onto the lower edge of the embossed layer and then ran a coordinating (Moody Mauve) strip of Textured Ribbon over the card stock and adhered it to the back of the card stock layers before adhering to the card base.

A last minute add on was another die cut from Moody Mauve card stock to emphasize the sentiment layer! A few In Color Dots was all it needed to finish this quick and easy thank you card.

Here are the measurements for this project:

• Basic White (Thick) CS: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″
• Blackberry Bliss: 5 1/4″ x 4″
• Basic White CS: (embossed) 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Basic White CS:  (embossed) 2 3/8″ x 7/8″
