I have to say that I was seeing a few projects on social media with this ’tiled’ technique and I just had to try it for myself! So easy to create this very interesting palette for your stamped focal images.
I decided to make this card a unique sized card, so I trimmed my layers into squares as noted below:
- Basic White (Thick) CS: 10″ x 5″ and scored at 5″
- Soft Succulent CS: 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
- Basic White CS: 4″ x 4″
Before stamping… I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score at the 1″ line both vertically and horizontally. (You could also do this at the 1/2″ mark).
I used the large leaf image from the Soft Seedlings stamp set and stamped it with Soft Succulent ink onto Basic White card stock. It was stamped right over the scored lines for the ’tiled’ effect!
I mounted the scored and stamped layer over a layer of Soft Succulent card stock and wrapped both layers with the Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon before mounting it on the card base.
The sentiment is also from the Soft Seedlings stamp set and was stamped on a cropped circle which was die cut from the Labels Aglow Dies.
This next card uses the same ’tiled’ technique and the same Soft Seedlings stamp set, but this time I stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and heat embossed on Mossy Meadow card stock.
This sentiment is actually from a retired stamp set called ‘Healing Hugs’. I am always in need of perfect get well sentiments and that is why sometimes… I am sure to hold on to the sets that I know will always have a use in my stamp room!
I hope you enjoyed today’s projects! Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Congrats Lori for a great year with Stampin up!!! Look at all those badges. Way to go.
My friend Nancy from AZ told me you said you have some health issues so the monthly kits would be stopping. So sorry to hear of your health issues and will add you to my nightly prayer list. May GOD protect you and give you the strength to heal quickly.
Blessings,

Thanks so much, Nancy!
