This Soft Seedlings stand-alone stamp set is great for all occasions – all year long! You can find this stamp set on page 53 of the July – December 2022 Mini Catalog!
I have created so many designs with using just this lovely and large leaf! For this card project, I used the tried and true ‘baby wipe’ technique for the subtle color changes that happen in Autumn (well, at least here in the Northeast!)
The ink colors that I used were Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Old Olive. The ‘baby wipe’ technique is achieved by simply adding drops of ink (I used my re-inkers) to a baby wipe! That’s it! I laid a wipe in an empty stamp case, added the ink drops and then stamped right off the baby wipe! You can add more ink each time you stamp or enjoy the muted colors as each design will come up different!
I used my Stylish Shapes Dies (large circle) on both a sheet from the Gingham Cottage DSP and also a large scrap of Basic White for a 3-dimensional layer effect for the focal image. My background layer was Cherry Cobbler card stock as was my ink for the sentiment.
I used my Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker to color the Basic White twine and added a tiny strand of Gold Trim to the bow. I added a small strip of White Frayed Ribbon and a few Festive Pearls to finish the project.
Here are the measurements for this project:
- Basic White (Thick) CS: 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″
- Cherry Cobbler CS: 5 1/4″ x 4″
- DSP: 5″ x 3 3/4″
