LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

Tulip Building With Tulip Dies

These beautiful dies are from the Flowering Tulips Bundle (which is part of the Flowering Fields Suite). All of these products can be found in the brand new Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog. This suite is on pages 14-17!

Whenever I receive a bundle where the die cuts need to be ‘built’ in order to achieve the desired image, I always make a template for myself like the one below. It is a quick and easy way to create these beautiful flowers with just a glance and you’re good to go!

Seriously, these are the most realistic dies I have seen in a very long time! They fold together beautifully and are in perfect scale with the stems and leaves.

In my attempt to add more texture to the card, but not take away from the beautiful tulips, I embossed a layer of Pear Pizzazz with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Before I embossed, I used the die from the set to crop out a geometric design in the lower right corner to add just the right amount of interest.

This also allowed for the beautiful designer series paper (Flowering Fields DSP) to pop through for some added color to the card front.

As you can probably guess by now… Tulips are my absolute favorite! I think Nature was at it’s best when this lovely flower was created! Tulips are always the first sign of Spring for me. I just wish their season was a little longer, but then again… maybe that is another reason to cherish them for their short season!

If you would like to see the step-by-step and up-close version of how these darlings were created, feel free to watch the clean version of the Facebook Live that was done earlier today!

I hope you liked today’s project! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Have a great day!
