The project above was my favorite and it was our first step up! But let’s start at the beginning with our super simple card project!
We started out with this first project being super simple and then stepped our way up from there! We used the Words of Cheer Bundle for all three projects… adding to each one along the way!
Sending you Christmas Cheer – Simple stamping at it’s best! Stamps, paper and ink!
Measurements:
- So Saffron CS: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic White CS: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Next up: a little watercolor technique to step it up…
Wishing You A Joyful Christmas
By simply spritzing the inked image before stamping, we created a very subtle watercolored effect to the focal image. The image was stamped on our Watercolor paper and the border die was cropped from the Christmas Cheer Dies (part of the bundle).
This added just one more element of interest to the project!
Measurements:
- Evening Evergreen CS: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper: 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper: 2 1/2″ x 1″
Our next totally stepped-up project…
Happy Holidays!
We went all out with this final stepped up project! We added the Be Dazzling DSP (Sale-a-bration items) as the backdrop die cut to the focal image and doubled it up with the top ‘happy’ die cut; both from the Christmas Cheer Dies. We embossed the back layer to the focal image with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, cropped a few accent leaves from the dies set and we heat embossed the sentiment!
For a stepped up project, this was still pretty easy peesy to create!
Measurements:
- Basic White Thick CS: 8 12″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic White embossed layer: 5″x 3 3/4″
- Basic White sentiment tag: 2 1/4″ X 1/2″
