October 2021 – Paper Pumpkin Alternatives – Peaceful Christmas

I had so much fun with my alternate projects for last month’s (October) Paper Pumpkin kit – Peaceful Christmas! It is such a beautiful kit and the fact that the kit coordinates with one of the most beautiful DSP packs in the Mini Catalog is quite the bonus!

For the project above, I simply cropped a circle from the Peaceful Place DSP (Mini Catalog) using the Layering Circles Dies This made for a beautiful focal point over the card base from the kit as the background.

For this next project, I used the scrap from the DSP which was left after cropping out the circle in the first card and trimmed the focal image layer around the beautiful tree. The green plaid background was included in the kit. The circle that I stamped the sentiment on is actually the back side of the green plaid circle that was also included in the kit!

This last one was really fun! I used my Blending Brushes to add color the the Vellum trees included in the kit. I layered it on the focal image layer after stamping the trees image on the lower part of the layer. I added that layer to the side of an embossed layer (Timeworn Type) and added some extra color with a bow using the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon.

The fonts in this month’s kit are crisp and simple and perfect for many more projects to come!
