Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Fantastic Fun Folds and 3D Projects. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
This is my favorite fun fold… and it couldn’t be any easier to put together in a jiffy! It’s called an Interlocking Fold Card and I am using one of my favorite DSPs from the Holiday Catalog – the Whimsy & Wonder DSP!
I have the measurements below! Once you cut and score, you can see where the layers of DSP go onto the scored and burnished Basic White layer.
The only tricky part (not too tricky) is centering your Stitched Rectangle die on the front panel of the card. To do so, you will need to run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine horizontally (not the recommended way to die cut, but in this case, you don’t really have much of a choice).
For this project I had a vertical orientation, but you can see two similar projects below where I chose both a horizontal an vertical orientation. Everything stayed the same as far as the measurements go… I just placed the die cut images from the Christmas Trees Dies (bundled with the Whimsical Trees stamp set) in a different direction.
Measurements:
- Misty Moonlight CS: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ (scored at 4 1/4)
- Basic White CS: 8″ x 5″ (scored at 2″, 4″, 6″)
- DSP: (2) 1 7/8″ x 4 7/8″
- DSP: (1) 2″ x 3 3/8″
You can see the step by step for this Interlocking Fold Card by watching the YouTube video here:
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on November 10th. Our theme will be “Home for the Holidays” when our Design Team creates a project to celebrate the upcoming holidays. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
