Happy Birthday with Sweets & Treats

This project is from my September Online Class – Sweets & Treats! It’s an adorable stamp set and this particular card was one of the bonus .pdf projects that is included in the class. You can learn more the September Online Class here!

You can find this stamp set on page 11 of the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog! So cute, right?

This project included some DSP from the Pattern Party DSP. I love the Pool Party color and backed it up with a trimmed layer of Pool Party card stock. Before adhering the DSP to the card stock, I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the large die from the Scalloped Contour Dies (love that set!)

I also used a smaller die from the Scalloped Contour Dies for the focal image stamping.

I stamped the large cake plate and dome in Memento Black ink (this would have been the ink to use in case I wanted to color in these images with my Stampin’ Blends). I kept it clean and simple for this card and after I stamped the cupcake image, I did color in just the wrapper with my Pool Party Blends.

I also gave the top of the dome a splash of color to act as a reflection on the glass. I did this with my Pool Party Blends also.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink also, but before doing so, I added a few strokes with the Blends for a little backdrop to my sentiment. I trimmed the Basic White sentiment tag and placed it over the focal image layer.

A strand of the beautiful striped Pool Party ribbon finished the project with a nice tidy bow and a few rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. This yummy card is ready for a tasty birthday celebration!
