While I love the Nature’s Harvest bundle, my intent with this card project was to showcase the beautiful Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. This folder is from the new July – December Mini Catalog and can be found on page 55 and is included in the Harvest Meadow Suite.
This is a beautiful 3D Embossing Folder on it’s own, but I wanted to try a little technique that would add a hint of a background color to the layer.
Using my Blending Brush, I added So Saffron ink to the inside of the folder before sending a piece of Basic White card stock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (with the #4 embossing plate). It added just a soft layer of color to the areas of the layer that was not raised.
If you prefer a darker/deeper addition of color, you could dab the inside of the folder with an ink pad instead of a Blending Brush for the darker effect. That comes out beautiful too!
The Harvest Meadow bundle has spectacular images and dies that have limitless design capabilities. I used the condolences sentiment, but these images would be perfect for year round occasions with sentiments for encouragement, thanks and good wishes!
