Have you ever colored right on printed acetate? This was my first time… and boy was I happy with the results. The Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate has the most beautiful designs and with just a few strokes with my Stampin’ Blends, the whole card just came to life.
The Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate is from the Fine Art Floral Suite. You will find that one of the patterns matches up perfectly with one of the patterns from the Fine Art Floral DSP.
Here is a sample of a project I created using both the Golden Garden Acetate and Fine Art Floral DSP. You can see how perfectly the acetate outlines the print on the DSP.
I cropped a large stitched rectangle from the top of the So Saffron card base and also from a second piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ So Saffron card stock.
After coloring in the flowers and leaves with my Stampin’ Blends (So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive), I placed the acetate sheet in between the cropped card base and the top cropped layer and adhered the layers with Stampin’ Seal. I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Succulent stamp set and tried to place it center of the flower top that would lay over it.
Since I wanted to keep the front view clean and simple, I cropped out a scalloped rectangle from Basic White card stock using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhered it to the back of the card. This will serve as the perfect layer for any personal greeting.
I hope you enjoyed these projects! Let me know if you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you!
