I cannot get enough of this Tasteful Touches Bundle! And just don’t get me started on the gorgeous In Good Taste DSP! This is one of those Designer Series Papers that you really do need to see in person to appreciate the artwork that went into each pattern.
I used Early Espresso ink for the stamped images, which goes very nicely with the Soft Suede card stock. The colors in this DSP are very earth toned and natural, so I wanted to bring in just a touch of color without taking away from the bold floral image and the neutral color combination. I decided to do a bleach technique by using just a tiny drop of bleach onto the leafy image. (I keep an Aqua Painter aside and labeled just for any projects that may use bleach.)
I wasn’t sure what color would pop out of the card stock at first, but after a few drops I was happy to see that my Mango Melody would be the perfect backdrop layer to mount the focal image on.
The sentiment was heat embossed by stamping first in VersaMark and then embossing with the Clear Emboss Powder. The result was a perfect match to the Early Espresso ink in the focal image.
I used the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder for the Crumb Cake layer between the card base and the DSP.
I don’t understand what you did with the bleach.
Hi Sue,
It’s so simple! I keep a little bleach in an old (labeled) Aqua Painter and just touched the design on the card stock with the painter and it removes the color of the card stock. If you used white card stock and stamped over it, it would remove the stamped ink and come up white!
Love, Love, Love this card and to think you did it with bleach! It is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing Lori.
Thanks so much, Nancy!
