Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “It’s the Sentiment That Counts” – showcasing new or favorite sentiments as the focal point of their project. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
The reason I chose this sentiment for my blog hop project is because I love the simple but broad message it brings to the recipient. It is non-specific as to the season but has a sense of warmth with its simple message.
The Perfectly Plaid Bundle brings the holiday spirit feeling with each of the images and the coordinating Tree Punch makes for quick and easy coordination.
A little about my project:
- I used the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper
- I used Shaded Spruce card stock for the card base
- I used Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White card stock to stamp the ‘plaid’ tree image and also the sentiment
- I cropped the image using the Pine Tree Punch
- I centered a small piece of DSP and layered it on a Whisper White layer
- I added a die from the Stitched Nested Label Dies for the backdrop for the tree image
- I adhered the cropped stamped image onto the die cut with dimensionals
- I used one simple rhinestone from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to embellish the tip of the stitched die cut
I hope you liked my Blog Hop Project today!

The plaid DSP really pops. Your sentiment compliments the plaid perfectly. A great card.
Ditto what Jackie said. Great card!
You’re right, Lori ~ this sentiment could be used for any season. And it’s lovely with this plaid!
I love this simple sentiment too! Thanks for sharing!
Lori, great card with one of my favorite bundles!
Lori, this is a very interesting CAS layout! Really like your punched tree and plaid combo! TFS!
Wow, this really made me look twice! Love the way you used the die for extra interest!
Such a pretty holiday card, Lori! The DSP goes so well with your CAS layout. Love it!
Lori, the shaded spruce is just striking against the white! Such a pretty card!
This is such a darling card and reproducible for those needing lots of Christmas cards! Great job Lori!
