This Sailing Home stamp set and bundle just called out for some watercoloring! And it was so easy to do!
For the first card, I simply used a clear block to transfer ink from the Balmy Blue ink pad. Once I stamped the background onto the Whisper White layer, I used my Aqua Painter to swirl around the ink. I stamped the larger sailboat and cropped it with the die from the Smooth Sailing Dies and popped it up on some circles with dimensionals. I layered it with DSP from the Come Sail Away DSP and wrapped around some Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine to make a bow to the side. I added an anchor trinket from the Sail Away Trinkets to the bow later (but apparently I pulled the photo without the trinket).
The second one was just as quick and simple to create! I made my own DSP by stamping the compass image in Night of Navy ink randomly on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock. I mounted that over a layer of Night of Navy.
I stamped the sailboat image on Shimmery White card stock and then I used my Aqua Painter and lightly laid down Balmy Blue ink in a swirly motion around and below the sailboat image. I stamped the sentiment on layering circles and popped it up using dimensionals.
