Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! January is all about making “Art from the Heart,” featuring projects for Valentines Day, Thinking of You, Get Well, or Sympathy. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
This is probably my favorite Pal’s Blog Hop Theme – From The Heart! At this time of year, the new Occasions Catalog is chock full of so many beautiful Designer Series Paper packages, it makes for easy designing and creating all month long!
My absolute favorite DSP from the new catalog is this All My Love DSP. It is perfect for Valentine’s Day, but can truly be used all year for birthdays, anniversaries or any special occasion!
See how easy it comes together…
- Trim Crumb Cake card stock to 11″ x 4 1/4″ and score at 5 1/2″
- Trim another piece of Crumb Cake card stock at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Trim Whisper White card stock to 5 3/8″ x 3 1/2″
- Trim DSP to 5 3/8″ x 2″
- Run the Crumb Cake card stock through the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
- Ink up the Subtle Dynamic TIEF with Balmy Blue ink and insert the Whisper White card stock
- Run the folder through the Big Shot
- Stamp the sentiment in Balmy Blue ink onto Whisper White card stock
- Crop the sentiment with an oval from the Layering Oval Framelits Dies
- Crop a slightly larger scalloped edge oval with a piece of Balmy Blue card stock
- Adhere the DSP layer to the inked embossed Balmy Blue layer
- Adhere both layers to the embossed Crumb Cake layer
- Tie a Balmy Blue Organza ribbon (Sale-A-Bration) around the lower quadrant of layers and tie a knot to the left of center
- Attach all the layers to the Crumb Cake card base
- Adhere the sentiment ovals with dimensionals to the right of the ribbon knot
- Add a few Adhesive Backed Sequins to the card front
Easy Peezy, right? I hope you liked todays card project!
