I was looking forward to stamping with the Buffalo Check stamp set and I really went to town trying out a bunch of colors for the plaid! The Stamparatus really came in handy with the Buffalo Check set because it did take a few impressions to get the desired color and consistency. But I love how it turned out!
I paired it up with the Country Home stamp set (another one I couldn’t wait to get into!). I wanted to use my Blends Markers as this set just calls out for the use of the Blends. I took a different route this time. Instead of using the Memento Black ink, I went with regular Crumb Cake ink. I knew there would be some bleeding, so I was pretty careful with my coloring.
I used Crushed Curry ink for the sentiment and also for the Buffalo Check stamped image. I stamped the plaid over So Saffron card stock. The Blends that I used were Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Crumb Cake – all with the combination packs.
Definitely a softer look, but I am glad I tried it this way!
