Oh my goodness… the Country Home Stamp Set paired with the Buffalo Check Stamp Set makes my heart happy! I used Gray Granite for the plaid background and wanted to have the flowers pop with some color, so I used my Highland Heather combination pack Blends Markers. I also added some Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy and Old Olive Blends Markers to the bunch!
Check out the Stampin’ Up! video below to get a peek into the basics of blending if you haven’t tried it before.
I’m pretty sure I’ve said it before, but coloring with the Blends Markers makes you feel like an artist (which I am not!). There is literally no way to mess it up! Just be sure to use the Tuxedo Black Memento ink to avoid any bleeding on the design and also use the thick card stock or have a scrap underneath your project while covering to avoid bleeding through onto your work space. I hope you liked today’s project!

Love this and love that you shared a video with us about shading. I’ve been trying my hand at using alcohol ink markers lately and can’t seem to get the shading down at all. I’ll try what she suggested.
Thanks, Kim. The Blends make it so darn easy…. you’ll be hooked in no time! Lori
Beautiful card, Lori! Love the buffalo check in Gray Granite.
Thanks so much, Michelle! Again, so nice to get to know you this past weekend!
