The Winter Woods is one of those sets that do not need a lot of fussiness. It’s simplicity says it all! But I did want to use it to showcase some of the beautiful DSP that is now available from the new 2018 Holiday Catalog. This one here is called Joyous Noel Speciality DSP and it does make me joyous!
I picked up the Sahara Sand in the DSP that I chose for this project and stamped the tree background image in this color. I stamped the background image using my Stamparatus for the ‘hinge’ stamping and it could not have been quicker or easier this way. I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink and cropped it with the Layering Squares Framelits Dies. I also cropped a few leaf sprigs from the leaf die that is included in the In The Woods Framelits Dies that you can purchase as a bundle with the Winter Woods stamp set for a 10% discount.
I finished the project with a double round of Linen Thread and a double bow adhered to the lower right corner of the sentiment square.
