I was very happy to see this Kindness & Compassion stamp set in the new 2018-19 Annual Catalog as I am always at a loss for the perfect sentiment for a sympathy card. This set has beautiful fonts and perfect wording.
I had some downtime last week and decided to use it to color. (Coloring always relaxes me!). And I chose to use my Blends Markers to color in the Graceful Glass 6″ x 6″ Designer Vellum. Wow is all I can say. This Vellum is just gorgeous and the coloring is easy peezy.
I used Lovely Lipstick and Old Olive Blends Markers and layered the DSP on top of a Whisper White layer that I ran through the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder.
I adhered both layers to Basic Black card stock and adhered all three layers to the card base. I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and also ran that stamped scrap through the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I layered the sentiment layer on a scrap of Basic Black also with a 1/4″ margin.
I finished the project with random placement of some black Faceted Dots.
Here are some alternate samples from this stamp set for you to see that I pulled in from the Stampin’ Up! catalog. Checking the catalog is always a good place to start when you’re looking for a little inspiration.
