I am usually a Whisper White card base girl, but I saw a sample in the Succeed Weekly Magazine that Stampin’ Up! provides us demonstrators that used colored card stock for the base and used cropped images from the same color card stock to punch the background images. So I thought I would give it a try!
Here is the sample from SU.
I used the Pretty Label Punch and the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set. I also stamped and cropped a daisy from the Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch for the focal image. I added a small layer of DSP from the Share What You Love DSP.
I stamped the sentiment from the Label Me Pretty stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and I used my Stampin’ Write Marker in So Saffron to color in the leaves of the daisy. I added two strips of Grapefruit Grove 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon and a few Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots to finish it off.

This new concept is interesting. I often use colored cardstock for card bases. Then white for the face and inside. They turn out nicely. Thanks for your examples.
Thanks, Susan.
