There’s a lot to love about the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies also! The thinlits in this set can be used two ways. One is to actually crop the image using the Big Shot and the other is to emboss with it using the Big Shot Embossing Mats.

I did both on this card project and love the results! I started by layering the card base layer with a piece of the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ DSP in the Night of Navy color. Then I ran the large corner floral framelit through the Big Shot using the new Big Shot Embossing Mats to just emboss the image onto the corner of the Balmy Blue card stock.

I did the die cutting from a piece of Whisper White card stock and used sponge daubers to color in just a few of the large floral images. I used Night of Navy ink for the sponging. I also stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cropped it with a small square from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies. I layered a slightly larger scalloped square in Night of Navy card stock behind the sentiment layer.

I placed the cropped layer to the opposite corner of the embossed layer, using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. (Next time, I will remember to use the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets!) But the glue pen worked just as well.

I ran a double strand of Night of Navy Baker’s Twine around and under the sentiment layer and tied a bow to the right side of the layered squares.
