LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

Die Cutting & Sponging… What’s More Fun!

I could not wait to get a chance to experiment with the new Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies. Oh boy, once I started I did not want to stop! I used sponge daubers to ink up the floral images and bring the image to life!

I used my favorite In Color – Grapefruit Grove as my base layer and a piece of DSP from the In Color 2018-2020 6×6 DSP. Once I ran the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Die through the Big Shot (I ran it through two times for a nice clean cut), I used my sponge daubers to sponge the different flower images in different colors. I used Grapefruit Grove, Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron and Daffodil Delight.

The Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies are part of the bundle called Abstract Impressions. Take a look at all the beautiful pieces included in this set.

A little note-to-self for next time I use this die. REMEMBER to use the Stampin’ Up! Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets when cropping out a design this intricate. (I ended up cropping three separate die cuts before remembering! It’s not a big deal… just makes the gluing a little quicker!   🙂

Once I was done sponging the cropped image, I glued it to the Grapefruit Grove card stock layer. I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen for gluing down the cropped piece, which worked perfectly fine!

I used the new Stitched Labels Framelits Dies for the Sentiment layer. You are going to get so much use out of this set. I think I’ve used it four times out of my last five projects! These can (and I have) used a few of these frametlits to emboss a layer (with the new Big Shot Embossing Mats) and the results were just as beautiful.

The Happy Birthday sentiment was from the Detailed with Love Stamp Set and heat embossed with the new In Color Stampin’ Emboss Powder – Grapefruit Grove. I think that little pop of raised ink makes the greeting extra special.

Before adhering the DSP and focal image layer onto the card base, I ran a strip of the Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine and tied a bow. I finished the project with just a few random Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
