LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

Pal’s July Blog Hop – A Pattern Party

Welcome to the Pals July, 2018 Blog Hop. We’re having a “Pattern Party”. This month our creations will feature our favorite Designer Series Papers and coordinating embellishments from the new annual catalog from Stampin’ Up!

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

For this month’s hop theme – Pattern Party, I  have decided to highlight my absolute favorite Designer Series Paper – Share What You Love DSP!

Stampin' Up! Stampinup! Pal's July Blog Hop Designer Series Paper Share What You Love DSP and Love What You Do Stamp Set with Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies by Lori Pinto1

Both of these patterns use a new color from the Annual Catalog called Petal Pink. To me, it has a salmony hue to it that makes it so special. The top layer here has a metallic addition to the color that makes it just so beautiful, but it is one of those things that you must see for yourself!

I started with a Thick Whisper White card base trimmed to 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. I added a Basic Black layer trimmed to 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and a piece from the Share What You Love DSP trimmed to 5-1/4″ x 4″. I trimmed two more pieces of Basic Black, one at 2″ x 3-3/8″ and one at 3-1/2″ x 2-1/8″. I trimmed a second design from the DSP to 1-7/8″ x 3-1/4″. Lastly, I trimmed a scrap of Whisper White to 2″ x 3-3/8″.

I stamped the sentiment from the Love What You Do Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the lower right side of the Whisper White layer and adhered it to the Basic Black layer. I adhered the smaller DSP layer to the other smaller Basic Black layer. I adhered the large DSP layer to the large Basic Black layer and used Snail Adhesive to adhere both layers to the card base.

I arranged the two matted rectangles (one DSP and one sentiment) into a corner shape, wrapped around a piece of Black Cord and tied a simple knot above the sentiment. I adhered the bottom sentiment layer with Snail Adhesive and used several Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the top DSP layer. I used the envelope liner thinlit die from the Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies and one of the coordinating DSP patterns to line the inside of the envelope.
