LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

The Rooted in Nature Bundle…. A Timeless Beauty

There is no doubt in my mind that this set will be an all-time favorite set for stampers for a very long time!

ROOTED IN NATURE STAMP SET AND NATURE’S ROOTS FRAMELITS DIES

Stampinup! Stampin'Up! Rooted in Nature Stamp Set and Bundle with Nature's Poem DSP and Blackberry Bliss Be Happy Card by Lori Pinto

The bundle consists of the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set (a 2 box stamp set) and the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. This set includes 12 dies that allow for creating beautiful die-cut trees and leaves in record time with the Framelits dies and the Big Shot. In addition to having Framelits for every stamp image, this set includes, thinlit leaves to use for a light emboss texture when using with the new Big Shot Embossing Mats (as I used for these single leaf images).

This was my color combination for this card. I am really enjoying my ‘self-imposed’ color challenge whereby I try to use at least 3 colors for each design. (In the past, I always seemed to stop at just two – with one being a neutral like white, vanilla or black.) Hope you like my choices for this one!

To be honest the DSP is this year’s Annual Catalog is beyond beautiful! I don’t know about you but that is where I start when beginning to create a card. It also takes all the guess out of which colors to use! This DSP is from the 12″ x 12″ pack called ‘Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper’. Yummy, right?
I used the small squares from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies as a solid layer to pop up the 3 individual stamped, cropped and embossed leaf images. I stamped the sentiment in Grapefruit Grove ink on the center of the Whisper White scrap and 3 small leaves, inked with Blackberry Bliss randomly on that layer.

This was my first time using the new Big Shot Embossing Mats. I was really happy with how those little leaves came out. It does take a little time to get the hang of it, so be patient if you are a newbie with these also. I plan to invest a little more time to really get the hang of it and hopefully will do a video tutorial on the process soon!
