There are some sets that are evergreen and for me, one of them is the Number of Years Stamp Set and the Large Numbers Framelits Dies. They are both retiring and will not be available after May 31st. I do sell most of my retiring stamp sets and bundles, but not this one! It is my go-to set when I am asked to make a special card for a special someone!

I don’t usually make 5″ x 7″ cards, but I felt in this case… 90 years old deserves the biggest and the best! And I also managed to get my Color Challenge in with this one. In case you missed it, I challenged myself to use at least three colors on all my sneak peek cards (even though this one is retiring). It is my way of getting to know all the new and fabulous colors that are in this new catalog.

The colors I used for this project are:

I trimmed the Very Vanilla Thick card stock to 10″ x 7″ and scored at 5″. My first layer was a piece of Night of Navy card stock, trimmed to 4-3/4″ x 6-3/4″. On top of that layer, I used a piece of DSP from the retiring set, Truly Tailored and trimmed that to 6″ x 4-1/2″. I also used a scrap from that same DSP and trimmed it to 4-1/2″ x 2-1/4″.

I cropped the numbers from the Large Numbers Framelits Dies onto Night of Navy card stock. If you think the numbers look a little more substantial than usual… that’s because I cropped the numbers three separate times and then used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere them together!

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and then cropped it out using the large oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. I also stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Night of Navy ink and used the Banner Triple Punch to make the tag. The new Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine (available June 1st) completed the project with a little bow tied in the corner.
