LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

Merry Christmas Photo Card

This was a last minute entry into my Christmas Card Class that will be held in a few weeks. I was asked to design a card that would hold a photograph and also be appropriate for the holidays. What a great idea… why didn’t I think of that in the first place? 🙂  And I love how this turned out!

Stampin'Up!, Stampinup! Card Front Builder Framelits Dies, Half Full Stamp Set, Layering Circles Framelits Dies, Silver Photograph Card by Lori Pinto

I used the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies for the beautiful cut-out border that runs on the top half of the card. I ran the thinlit through the Big Shot on Whisper White card stock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″.

I also ran the ‘double tree’ die from the Card Front Builder set with a piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot. And then I ran the double tree through the Big Shot again with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the snowy look.

I used the largest circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies and cropped the circle in the center of the card stock. I adhered a piece of Vellum behind the circle.

I cropped out that little ‘deer’ die using Silver Glimmer Paper and glued him between the two trees.

I used the sentiment stamp from the Half Full Stamp Set and embossed it onto the lower left side of the focal image layer using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

I ran a strip of the thin Silver Washi Tape that was part of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape directly under the sentiment and across the width of the layering piece.

Before adhering the trees with dimensionals, I wrapped a few strands of the Silver Metallic Thread into a circle and glued it to the back of the trees.

I trimmed my photograph (of my yummy grand baby 🙂  ) to the same measurements of the Whisper White and adhered it to the backside of the card front (being careful not to have the glue show). And that was it!
