This stamp set, Lovely As A Tree really is lovely! The set has this beautiful individual tree along with a set of five trees set on a hilltop. I don’t see this set being used too often, so I decided to bring it out and show off one of its beautiful images!
I started this card awhile ago while I was experimenting with the new Embossing Paste (which I still love playing with!).
I started by stamping three of the individual tree images in Tranquil Tide ink. I layered the Whisper White card stock over a piece of Tranquil Tide card stock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. I popped this layer up with a few dimensionals.
I used the ‘peace’ sentiment from the Christmas Quilt stamp set and decided to emboss it with Silver Embossing powder. I also used the snowflake image stamp from the set, Christmas Pines for the snow flakes, which I also embossed using the Silver Embossing Powder. I love the look of embossing! 🙂
To finish it off, I used some leftover Embossing Paste and dabbed some on and around the branches and on the bottom of the trees for the snowy effect.
