This was one of the cards that I used as a sample on my YouTube video I made a couple of weeks ago on the new Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste. I will put a link at the end of this post for you to check it out!
In the video, I explain what to do if you do not have a re-inker in the color that you want to mix in with the embossing paste…. You use your Stampin’ Write Marker as a base and then add the paste to it! 🙂
I used the new In Color – Powder Pink card stock as a base and for the back layer to the square focal image. I used the medallion stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and covered just two opposing corners. I did this by putting a little bit of the Powder Pink ink from the marker onto a piece of plastic and then mixed in some of the embossing paste. It is hard to see from the photo, but it does have a very light pink hue to the design. I have tried using a darker color write marker for a different project and the color came out true to the original color, so I think this is light because the Powder Pink is such a light/pastel color.
The stamp set I used is a Hostess Set called Background Bits and it has the most beautiful and delicate backgrounds for any occasion and I just love the beautiful font for the two sentiments.
I used the Powder Pink 1/2″ Ribbon for a little pop of color across the mid section of the card and popped the square and rectangle up with a few dimensionals to finish it up! I really love the softness and subtleness of this card.
I hope you liked today’s card! All of the products I used for this project are available for purchase. I have the items listed below.
