I wasn’t kidding when I said the possibilities were endless with the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and Leaf Die! 🙂
And so, here is another card designed using the Painted Harvest stamp set and Leaf Punch! I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock for the card base. I used a paper from the Wood Textured DSP Stack for my first layer and then used a scrap from the Painted Autumn DSP to start building the focal image.
The sunflower image from this set is a two-step stamp, which really brings it to life! I stamped the background image in Daffodil Delight and the second step (the more detailed stamp) was inked up with Pumpkin Pie ink. You can use your imagination when it comes to the many color combinations that can be used for a sunflower – some real and some not so real! 🙂
After I stamped the sunflower, I fussy cut around the edges. Don’t worry about cutting precisely as all the edges will be inked up again. Take a sponge dauber and ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie (or the darker of whatever color combo you are using) and run it around the edges of the flower to cover up all the white that was left from fussy cutting!
I used Wild Wasabi ink and stamped the leaf image on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. (This too is a two-step stamp, but I only used the background stamp for this image.) I cropped out the three leaves with the Leaf Punch. I layered a small strip of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon over the DSP layer and popped the sunflower image on top with several dimensionals. Then I added the leaves with a touch of adhesive to the stems and curled the leafy tops a little for some extra movement to the layer!
I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink to match the ink that I used for the center of the sunflower and cropped it with the Banner Triple Punch. An addition of an enamel dot to pick up the color of the sunflower… and I was done!
