It’s a WONDERFUL LIFE!                       #tictactoechallenge #tttc016

I was looking for a reason to crack open this adorable stamp set, Wonderful Life and this week’s #tictactoe challenge was perfect timing! I chose the bottom left diagonal line this time (free/paper piece/autumn colors).

This stamp set just screams for watercolor, don’t you agree! And watercoloring is so relaxing… once I start, I really don’t want to quit!  🙂

I stamped the car and fall wall image onto watercolor paper in Basic Gray Archival Ink and then used my Aqua Pen to fill it in with some color. I wanted a very subtle effect, so I kept the coloring very light.

I layered the (3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″) watercolor paper on to a (3-3/4″ x 5″) piece of Autumn print from the Painted Autumn DSP and then layered the DSP onto a piece of (3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″) Old Olive card stock. All of the layers are on a Whisper White card base.

I stamped the leaves from the set (they stamp as three together) onto the same print from the Painted Autumn DSP in Early Espresso ink and then fussy cut them apart. I also used this DSP design to crop out one of the leaves from the Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies and wrapped it around the upper left portion of the watercolor layer… (the leaves had to come from somewhere, right?)  :-).

Lastly, it was just a matter of  gluing the leaves down and adhering all the layers together!
