I am still not done playing with my Tranquil Tulips stamp set! This time I matched it up with a piece of beautiful DSP from the Painted Autumn DSP!
The Painted Autumn DSP is part of the Painted Autumn Suite. The stamp set in this suite is called Painted Harvest and it has the most beautiful images of Fall and sentiments on being Thankful! I chose this particular DSP because I saw that it had a hint of my favorite new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist… and who said a tulip can’t be two tones of green! 🙂
I did use a few stamp sets for this card. The background stamp (on the left side) was from the Touches of Texture Stamp Set and the sentiment was from the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set. And, of course, the tulip is from the beautiful set, Tranquil Tulips!
I used Early Espresso ink for the background and a combination of Garden Green and Lemon Lime Twist ink for the two-step tulip image. I used Garden Green ink for the sentiment and topped it off with a few strands of Garden Green (retired) twine. I added a few Enamel Shapes to give it a little pop… and I was done!
The Lemon Lime Twist layer that you see was actually a shaving cream technique that I was demonstrating for the ladies in my monthly group. To see more on that technique, click HERE. I hated throwing it out and was so happy to see this piece of DSP that had a little bit of Lemon Lime Twist going on… love when that happens!
The measurements are as follows:
- Card base: Whisper White – 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- DSP layer: 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Technique layer: 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
- Image layer: 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″
