LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

Happy Day Basket

This card was my entry into this week’s #tictactoechallenge (#tttc008). This is such a fun challenge! I chose the diagonal line … square – linen thread – scoring.

This was the first time I had a chance to ink up this stamp set. It’s called Basket of Wishes and has a really nice selection of baskets and barrels! I really liked the way this one came out, but I see so many more designs for the Autumn season and look forward to getting it all inked up again in oranges, reds and browns!  🙂

It was pretty easy to put together. The basket in this stamp set, Basket of Wishes is the star of the show here! I inked it up in Basic Black (Archival) ink and stamped the strawberries in Crumb Cake ink (I wanted something that wouldn’t stand out). I used a blender pen dipped in Real Red ink to color in the strawberries and I used Old Olive ink for the leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Old Olive ink and ran the Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot with the square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

I scored the Old Olive card stock (cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″), with my Stampin’ Trimmer (any scoring tool would work) and lightly scored the upper right side and the bottom left side – both at 3″ and 2″.  I adhered a piece of designer paper from the Pick A Pattern DSP to the card stock and then ran three lines of Linen Thread around the lower quadrant before adhering the layers to the Whisper White card base.

My last steps were to adhere the stitched square to the DSP layer, which I did with Dimensionals, make a bow with three strips of Linen Thread, which I attached with a small glue dot and add a few Enamel Shapes in the lower corner to highlight the scoring. That was it! Challenge complete!  🙂
