LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

Feeling At Home

I participated in the #Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week (#tttc007) and chose the bottom row (embossing folder, embellishments, yellow) for my entry.

This is such a fun challenge! Click on the challenge box above to see all the fabulous designs that were entered.

So, here’s my entry…

#tttc007, Stampin' Up!, At Home With You Stamp Set, Layered Leaves Embossing Folder, Stitched Shapes Ovals, Hearts and Stars Elements

This card was super quick to make and will definitely qualify for my Clean And Simple (CAS) Saturday coming up this week!

I started with a Heavy Whisper White card stock for the base and added a layer of So Saffron,  measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. I cut a piece of Whisper White to 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ and ran it through the Big Shot with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (such a long name for a simply beautiful leaf embossing folder 🙂 )!

Then a used my Aqua Marker (you could use any water pen), dipped it in the So Saffron ink pad and painted in some random leaves around the embossed layer. This folder is so pretty, it truly becomes the focal point of the card!

I stamped the sentiment from the At Home With You stamp set in So Saffron ink. I used the Oval Stitched Shape Framelits Dies and cut the smaller one out in Whisper White and the larger one in So Saffron card stock. Before adhering the ovals to the embossed layer, I ran a few rounds of Linen Thread along the lower quarter of the card and tied a triple bow with the same Linen Thread. Then, I glued a heart from the Subtles Enamel Shapes right onto the knot and popped a wooden heart from the Hearts and Stars Elements to finish it off.

You all know how I hate leaving my envelopes bare and boring…. so I had to add a little something to this one! I ran the flap of the envelope through the Big Shot, being careful to keep the embossing positive – not negative. I wanted the leaf impressions to pop out (not recede). That was it! Another fun and pretty project complete!  🙂
