Since my all time favorite color – Mint Macaron is retiring very soon, I am torn between using it or holding on to it (like a hoarder) for no other reason than not wanting it to be gone forever. A little crazy, I know.   🙂   My kids are always telling me I don’t handle change very well :-).

Anyway, I’m really happy with how this one turned out! Hope you like it too!

I started by layering Mint Macaron card stock, Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper and a piece of Whisper White. I cut out the small butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies first and then ran the Whisper White paper through the Big Shot with the Falling Pedals Embossing Folder. Then I stamped the die cut butterfly with Mint Macaron and Smokey Slate ink using the 3-step stamps from the Watercolor Wings set. I stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Wings stamp set also.

I placed the embossed card stock over the Glimmer Paper and then placed the butterfly on top of the negative space of the die. I glued the body of the butterfly onto the butterfly and embossed paper, and turned up the wings a little for some lift.

I added a strip of Mint Macaron wide ribbon to the bottom quadrant of the card, added an adhesive pearl to the body of the butterfly and I was done!
