This card was the result of a sketch challenge from InkBig and it gave me the chance to get back to my little chicks because I think are just so darn cute! 🙂
The stamp set is from Hey Chick!. This is one of the sets that are FREE from the Sale-A-Bration catalog if you purchase $50 from any of the other catalogs!
The top layering piece of patterned paper is from the December Paper Pumpkin kit. (I wasn’t a fan of this actual kit, but it does have really great paper that I use all the time!) The bottom layer was just a piece of white paper that I sent through the Big Shot using the Hexagon Embossing Folder. Then I ran a sponge dauber inked in Smokey Slate over the embossed piece. I attached both layers over a full size layer of a sheet from the Urban Underground Specialty DSP.
Then, I got to play with my little chick! I stamped the chick in Archival Black and used a little ink from Peekaboo Peach and Pumpkin Pie on an Aqua pen to color in the image. I used the oval shape from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut the image and popped it up with some dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment by putting two sentiments from the Hey Chick set on one block to make one and I stamped it with Peekaboo Peach ink. I added a line of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon to separate the two coordinating layers. The card base was Smokey Slate card stock.
