This post will highlight two cards that are pretty similar and that I made from the same stamp set. It’s called Penned and Painted. It makes the most beautiful flower images!
For the bases on both cards I used Rich Razzleberry card stock and I layered a piece of the Falling in Love DSP for the stamped images. The great thing about this stamp set (and what makes the flowers look so darn real) is that it is a 2-step image. By using both stamps (outline and solid interior), it gives the image dimension. I only used one of the stamps for both of these cards, and you can see that it turns out beautiful with either one or both! For the left card, I stamped the outline flower image on basic Whisper White card stock using Rich Razzleberry ink. I used a masking technique to have one flower sit up in front of the others. Then I just fussy cut around the whole image.
I adhered the two flower images onto opposite corners of the DSP and tied a small bow of Linen Thread around the top portion of the panel. I stamped this sentiment from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set. I adhered the final layer onto the card base and I was done. 🙂
The next card was just as easy – and required no fussy cutting! I simply stamped the floral images onto two corners of a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and added a birthday sentiment from the Stylized Birthday stamp. I added a Sweet Sugarplum ribbon to pick up the same color in the DSP, adhered the DSP to the base and then adhered the finished layer to the DSP. Done, done and done!
